Hello,
I've got a Vodafone Smart Router OptiXstar HG8247X6-8N. I've connected an external HDD to it and enabled network sharing. The problem is that the router exposes SMB protocol version 1, which is not supported on Windows 10 and 11 by default and will soon be phased out altogether due to weak security.
Is there a way to use SMBv2 or v3 instead?
Thanks.

Hello @naorunaoru
We appreciate your patience.
We have received information from our technical team confirming that Vodafone equipment supports only SMBv1, and unfortunately, there is no scheduled update to support SMBv2 or v3.
We understand the importance of security updates, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with, please feel free to let us know.
Thank You
