Upgrading upload speed to 1gbps

Recently i renewed my contract for 2 years. While renewing the contract the upload speed maximum avaialable for me was 400Mbps. In the recent days i see that in your website you have started providng 1gbps upload speed. This options was not available for me when i was renewing. I called the support and checked whether it is possible for upgrading the upload speed to 1gbps and they told me that i have to change my contract with new contractual terms and should pay the higher price for getting 1gbps speed. which did not make me happier. it would be nice it vodafone upgrade the upload speed of existing customers to 1gbps like me. Could you please check with responsible department that whether is it possible to do that for me without changing the price. i made the contract only on sept 25.

The difference between 400Mbps or 1Gbps in upload speed, most times, is not only a plan difference, but can also be a matter of equipments being used in your installation, or the area you live in. Allow us to analyse your case, by sending us a private message here in the Forum, with your account number, or NIF.

I was recently contacted by a Vodafone representative and informed that I would need to pay an additional €23 per month to upgrade to 1 Gbps upload speed. I find this quite disappointing, as it appears that new customers are being offered the same 1 Gbps upload speed without any additional charges, while existing loyal customers are required to pay more for the same service.

This pricing policy feels unfair and discouraging for long-term customers who have remained committed to Vodafone over the years. I strongly believe that existing customers should receive the same benefits and offers as new ones, especially when it comes to service upgrades.

I would appreciate it if Vodafone could review this policy and consider offering the 1 Gbps upload speed to existing customers without the extra cost. I value Vodafone’s service and would like to continue my contract, but fairness in customer treatment is very important to me.

We value all customers, whether new or current. We've had the opportunity to clarify that in your particular case, you're receiving greater benefits than those of new customers. If you wish, you can join the new customer campaign and pay the same amount. But, you refused.

Thank you for your response and for clarifying Vodafone’s position. However, I would like to respectfully express my disagreement with the explanation provided.

While I understand that my current plan may include certain benefits, my main concern is the inconsistency in offering the 1 Gbps upload speed — a feature that is now standard for new customers at no additional cost. Asking existing customers to pay extra for the same service creates a sense of inequality and does not reflect well on customer loyalty recognition.

I have been a loyal Vodafone customer for several years and would appreciate if the same conditions available to new customers could be extended to existing ones, without the need to switch to a different campaign or increase the monthly cost.

I kindly request Vodafone to reconsider this matter or provide an alternative solution that acknowledges the loyalty of existing customers.
