New Vodafone Go 15 day Data Card not working

Hello,
We purchased a 15 day Vodafone Go card in Coimbra Portugal to use as a mobile hotspot through our phone. It is showing that we have Vodafone service but we cannot open any internet pages on the phone or on our computer(s).
Do we need to activate the card or something?
Also, is this going to count against our 15 days?

(We have tried removing the card and reinserting, turning the phone off and back on. We have verified that data service is marked on and even tried the manually inputting the APN information we've read on similar problems listed here.)
